Debuting with the famous song "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles, it became the most successful music television service to ever air! The footage shown was the Apollo 11 space launch, and a voiceover proclaimed, "Ladies and gentlemen, rock and roll," and with that, MTV was born.
